The Northern Ontario Art Association is currently made up of fifteen regional art clubs, which span a large geographic area of Northern Ontario, Canada. These clubs are solely volunteer based and some of them, as the section within our History and Mandate menus will detail, have been in existence for over 47 years. Regional clubs, over the past forty seven years come and go, however currently we are proud to represent our membership of 350 artists from clubs as far north as Timmins, to Sault St Marie and Burks Falls in the south. Each of the clubs within their own regional boundaries is a hive of artistic creation during the winter and fall months. Many members also meet during the summer months, for outdoor workshops, on location painting jaunts and also the now famous week long Cobalt Artist Colony.
Within these independent clubs, local workshops, demonstrations and business meetings form part of their activities. The NOAA recognizes this individuality, and as part of this web site has dedicated each regional clubs a section that deals solely with their club activities. Please visit the club closest to your location, and get a better understanding of their activities.
