Northern Ontario Art Association

Logo design Sheryl Fillion Welcome to the Northern Ontario Art Association, a group of fourteen independent Art Clubs, representing over 350 artists, spread over the vast geographical area of Northern Ontario, Canada.

As our history and mandate will detail, we are an organization formed in 1949 with a specific goal of furthering art education within remote northern communities, as well as promoting the appreciation of their original artwork.

This website has provided a leap into a new and exciting era.
We now have a mechanism whereby our many member artists can promote new works, list works that our peers have deemed worthy of recognition from past annual exhibitions, as well as offer vital communication tools to keep us, and site visitors informed of the latest happenings, events and art techniques within the various mediums.
You the visitor, can browse, or selectively search artwork, by various sub-headings, the artwork you wish to view, or indeed purchase.
Just click the “Art Search” to begin your experience into our Artist’s impressions of Northern Ontario, Canada.

NOTE TO NOAA MEMBER ARTISTS: For instructions on uploading your artwork and editing your profile, refer to the Website User Guides under NOAA Communications (Document Downloads).

An Arist and a Gentleman - David Bould
Posted by noaa on: Wednesday 03 April @ 14:07:32

englehart writes: "Some sad news for EAA members and the artists' community in the north: David Bould, first president of the Northern Ontario Artists Association, and First Vice of the Englehart Area Artists, passed away on December 17. Such a sweet, unassuming, and gentle man, a real talent with the brush, David was such a positive force, not only for art but for everything and everyone he touched. We will all miss him.
